Tuck in as Tainui gears up for development feast
Tainui Group Holdings has hired one of New Zealand’s most experienced development professionals as it gears up to develop more of Waikato Tainui's landholdings.
Peter Tuck will join the organisation next year in the newly-created role of general manager for development.
He's currently leading Kiwi Property's $250 million expansion of Sylvia Park, and his international projects include the Westfield Annapolis in the United States and The Dubai Mall which, when opened, was the world’s largest shopping mall.
TGH chief executive Chris Joblin says the appointment recognises the growth that Tainui Group Holdings expects over the coming years and reflects growing confidence in the Waikato region.
Now in its sixteenth year, Tainui Group Holdings manages around $950 million of assets.
Major projects underway include the 480-hectare Ruakura inland port and logistics hub, construction of the Te Arikinui Pullman Auckland Airport Hotel with joint venture partner Auckland Airport, as well as a 40-room extension to the Novotel Hamilton Tainui.
