Architecture firm Jasmax has formed a partnership with former New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute director Karl Johnstone aimed at giving it leadership in cultural design.
Chief executive Sjoerd Post says Mr Johnstone brings a wealth of knowledge in the cultural sector and shares Jasmax's vision of raising the bar on indigenous design intelligence.
The partnership arose out of the work Mr Johnstone's Haumi consultancy has been doing with the firm on the New Zealand Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
