Town hall send off for Koro Mullins

Dannevirke will today farewell shearing identity Koro Mullins with a funeral in the town hall after the conclusion of his tangi at Makirikiri Marae.
Koropiko Tumatahi Mullins of Te Arawa died suddenly on Monday, aged 65.
Daughter Aria Mullins says the number of tributes that have come in from around the world convinced the family a larger venue would be needed.
Mr Mullins and his wife Mavis built the family shearing contracting business Paewai Mullins, now run by Aria, into one of Dannevirke's major employers.
As well as supporting hundreds of New Zealand and international shearers through the business, the 1993 Golden Shears finalists also found fame in the shearing world as a commentator for shearing competition, especially once the internet allowed them to be streamed around the world.
Shearing Sports New Zealand chair Sir David Fagan says Mr Mullins was a big loss to the industry and sport.
