Māori Development Minister Nanaia Mahuta says talks are progressing well on a solution to the Ihumātao stand off.
Minister Mahuta met yesterday with one of the mana whenua SOUL members leader Pania Newton.
She says things are still at an early stage, but it's important all parties are involved and having the right conversation.
"Everyone involved, mana whenua, iwi support, tocal government, Fletchers, everyone wants certainty about an outcome and certainly for the members of SOUL and the members at Makaurau Marae and Pūkaki Marae, they all want to be part of working towards a solution so that everyone can move forward," Ms Mahuta says.
