Te Puni Kōkiri and Manaaki Whenua – Landcare Research have launched an upgraded version of its website for Māori landowners.
WhenuaViz allows owners to generate customised land summary reports including information about soil properties, climate and potential land uses for individual land blocks.
TPK chief executive Michelle Hippolite says it’s part of the new Whenua Māori programme to stimulate new opportunities for whānau to realise their aspirations for Māori freehold land.
Part of the programme will be a Whenua Knowledge Hub website with digital tools and maps for Māori land owners and information on all aspects of whenua development, from succession through to growth opportunities.
