Taranaki Whānui and The Wellington Company have released images of what their proposed redevelopment of Shelly Bay Taikuru will look like.

Renders and video placed on the project website include detail on the green spaces, a ferry landing, diverse mix of housing types and retail and hospitality opportunities.

They say the development will include more accessible and open public space than presently available, and greater accessibility to the foreshore.

Consent is expected to be lodged in April.

The renders and video are at https://www.shellybaytaikuru.co.nz/
