Kapa haka roopu to 14 Auckland secondary kura are expected at tomorrow's Te Ahurea Tino Rangatiratanga in Manurewa.
Organiser Hammond Matua from host school James Cook High says it's the 22nd year of the kapa haka festival.
He says it's a space to energise people and provide a space to be Maori.
That's in contrast to the ASB secondary schools cutlural festival, which is about sharing all cultures with the world.
Gates open at 7.30am.
