Auckland consulted on criminal law reform
The advisory group looking at changes to the criminal justice system will be in Auckland next week to hear submissions.
Te Uepū Hāpai i te Ora chair Chester Borrows says his group is keen to hear what New Zealanders want from their criminal justice system.
It is focusing on people whose lives and work are affected by the criminal justice system, and canvassing ideas on how the system can be improved for less offending, less reoffending, and fewer victims of crime.
The advisory group will be at Papatoetoe Library on the morning of Monday 15, Otahuhu Library on Tuesday morning and Manurewa Library on Tuesday afternoon.
