Māori speaking children are encouraging other tamariki to stay safe.
They feature in a series of short videos made for social media by Safekids Aotearoa.
Safekids injury prevention adviser Mareta Hunt says they deal with issues like buttons, batteries, poisons, and other common hazards.
"The kids had so much fun with those videos and the games we had set up. There was no prep work. We wanted them to be really fluid, very organic, and allowed ther voice to come out, becase if we prepped them and scripted them we felt we would lose their voice in the messages, and that's what we really wanted to focus on," she says.
Mareta Hunt says Māori don’t speak enough about injury prevention, and she hopes the videos will start a conversation.
