Te Kaika model for whanau ora delivery
An iwi driven health and social hub in Dunedin has won this year's Dame Tariana Turia Award for contributions to whanau ora.
Te Kaika is a partnership between Arai Te Uru Whare Hauora, Otakou Runanga and the University of Otago.
The award was announced at Te Rau Matatini’s Toitu Hauora Maori Health Leadership Summit in Dunedin.
Blondie Ngamoki of Otago won the Paraire Huata Award, which aims to raise the standards of practice in regard to Maori models of practice in the Maori mental health and addiction sector.
