A plan to create a new digital platform highlighting the achievements of Māori and Pacific leaders has won Auckland creative director Raymond McKay one of this year’s two Auckland Business Chamber Michael Barnett Scholarships.
The $5000 scholarships are for endeavours in communication, management or leadership.
Mr Barnett says Mr McKay’s Orator Circle project will showcase the stories to a wide audience and should serve as an inspiration for young New Zealanders.
The other scholarship went to AUT graduate Elspeth Carroll, who is attending summer sessions at Harvard University in the United States to go towards a Masters of Liberal Arts and International Relations.
