Tainui rangatahi see models for leadership

Organiser Ariana Paul says it's an opportunity to bring some of the leaders of tomorrow together to whakawhanaunga, learn about the legacy of the ancestors and look to the future.
It's the third such wānanga and lessons have been learned about how to engage with today's youngsters in a way the marae doesn't feel like another classroom.
"They're used to seeing the pākeke stand up. Sometimes that model needs to be broken so we have disrupted that model and we have brought tuākana in who are just a few years older than our rangatahi here to really role model what leadership looks like," Ms Paul says.
