Traci Houpapa appointed to Treasury Board
Prominent Māori businesswoman Traci Houpapa has been appointed as a non-executive director to the board of Treasury, along with former Public Service Association general secretary Richard Wagstaff.
They replace Sir Ralph Norris and Whaimutu Dewes.
Treasury secretary Gabriel Makhlouf says they are respected New Zealanders with valuable governance and leadership experience.
The Treasury Board was established in 2010 as an advisory body.
Ms Houpapa chairs the Federation of Maori Authorities and has served on the board of Landcorp (Pāmu) since 2010, and as Chair from 2015 until April 2018.
