Black Fern star for Sport NZ role
Former Black Ferns captain Farah Palmer has been appointed to the board of Sport New Zealand.
Ms Palmer is a senior lecturer at Massey University’s School of Management, with research interests in race, gender and sport management leadership, as well as being a member of the New Zealand Rugby Board and as an independent member of the Māori Rugby Board.
Other new members of Sport NZ include lawyer Raewyn Lovett, a former Netball New Zealand chair, and technology investor Rowan Simpson.
Former treasury official Bill Moran is the board’s new chair, and Darrin Sykes was reappointed for a further term.
