Jobs could go at Maori Television as the broadcaster struggles with frozen funding.
Production funding has not increased since the service was launched in 2004.
Maori Development Minister Nanaia Mahuta told parliament she has received a letter from outgoing board chair Georgina te Heuheu about its finances.
She says the number of jobs to go will be decided by the board.
Other challenges include declining viewer numbers and technology changes.
