Marley tribute keeps Kora in the groove
The stars of Maori music will tonight celebrate the music of reggae legend Bob Marley.
The New Zealand All Stars tribute concert at Trusts Arena in West Auckland includes the likes of Logan from Katchafire, Bo Runga, Annie Crummer, Ria Hall, Tiki Tane, Che Fu and holding down the heartbeat on bass, Fran Kora.
Kora says they are songs that have been part of growing up in Aotearoa, where the Jamaican star's music has always been incredibly popular.
"The music is amazing to play. The grooves are such intelligent music. The deeper you get into it the more you understand it and love what Bob Marley did but it's also really cool jamming with a whole bunch of cool people, a really good crew and it's a lot of fun," he says.
