Solomon wisdom valued for DHB

Ngai Tahu’s Sir Mark Solomon has resumed his position as chair of the Canterbury District Health Board after Health Minister Jonathan Coleman appointed former diplomat and trade negotiator John Wood to the chair.
Sir Mark had been acting chair since the previous chair resigned.
Dr Coleman says he’s confident the pair have the right mix of skills between them to make a successful leadership team.
Since retiring from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2006 Dr Wood has held a number of governance positions in Canterbury, as well as being chief crown negotiator for two major treaty settlements and serving on Te Urewera Governing Board.
