The Dame Mira Szászy Maori Alumni Award went to former New Zealand trade and Enterprise official Liz te Amo who now heads up the Ministry for Business, Innovation and Employment’s Maori economic development unit.
The Young Maori Business Leader Award went to a member of the Murray whanau, Blanche Morrogh, who in five years has helped build north Manuka honey business Kai Ora Honey into a multi-million dollar global concern.
The award for organisations went to Kahungunu Asset Holding Company.
Television producer Bailey Mackey won the Entrepreneurial Leader Award.
However, his company Pango missed out on an award at the Hi-Tech Awards for its innovating production scheduling and budgeting software.
