Greens unhappy with spy share pact

Green’s co-leader Metiria Turei says she wants to see New Zealand out of Five Eyes.
The heads of spy agencies from the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have been in Central Otago for a meeting on the surveillance alliance.
Ms Turei says she is still waiting for a proper investigation into revelations New Zealand spied on its Pacific neighbours as part of the alliance.
"They are no good. There are some real issues about New Zealand's participation in Five Eyes. At the same time we've got Donald Trump bombing Syria. The participants in Five Eyes don't have honour in that regard so we really need to be avoiding and getting out of Five Eyes. That's the Greens position," says Metiria Turei.
