Labour deputy leader Jacinda Ardern has called the Minister for Vulnerable Children heartless for dismissing calls for an inquiry into historic claims of abuse of children who were in State care.
She says the impact of abuse is long lasting, and the Government must help address the ongoing problems.
She intends to meet the survivors of state abuse, Nga Morehu, who have spoken out about their treatment.
