The Ngarimu VC & 28th Maori Battalion Memorial Scholarship Fund Board has been refreshed with four new appointments.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Graeme Vercoe, representing B Company, and Dr Monty Soutar for C Company have been reappointed.
New members include Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi associate professor Te Tuhi Robust to represent A Company, Te Kura Kaupapa o Te Whanau Tahi Dr Melanie Riwai-Couch for D Company, Waikato university associate law professor Linda Te Aho to represent past scholarship recipients, and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Waiu o Ngati Porou Philip Heeny as the Ngarimu whanau representative.
Education Minister Hekia Parata says the board has a rich history of providing scholarships to support future Maori leaders in their academic studies.
