Kaihaka flexes muscles for national reward

New Zealand's newest body building champion says kapa haka helped get him to the top.
Eruera Keepa won the novice men's 90 to 100kg section at the weekend's New Zealand International Federation of Body Building Pro Am International in Auckland.
That's just two weeks after he appeared on the stage at Te Matatini with Te Arawa team Te Matarae i Orehu.
He says kapa haka gives him the confidence to stand on stage – and to smile and move on to cover up any slips or uncertainty.
"I'm a regular recreational gym goer and 14 or 15 weeks ago I saw an opportunity with Te Matatini and this bodybuilding competition two weeks apart and I thought I may as well stay in condition and target this competition as well," Mr Keepa says.
He also plays rugby league for the Hamilton City Tigers and Waikato, and says he still has some targets to hit in that arena.
