Willow Jean Prime out to topple Peters

Labour has selected Willow Jean Prime as its Northland candidate.
A lawyer from Ngati Hine and Te Kapotai, she says she will campaign on the government's ongoing neglect of the region, which she sees in her role as a member of the Far North District Council.
She's looking forward to getting back on the campaign trail against incumbent MP and new Zealand First leader Winston Peters, after a practice run flying the flag for Labour in 2015.
"We had the by-election and we saw that result and it showed to me our Northland voters are strategic, and the by-election presented one set of circumstances but this is a general election and we are out to win and become the Government so I am running a two tick campaign," Ms Prime says.
Labour also confirmed sitting MP Kelvin Davis as its candidate in Te Taitokerau.
