The Green Party plans to deliberately target the Maori vote at the next election.
Maori spokesperson Marama Davidson says the party knows a lot of its appeal is with young voters including rangatahi voters.
She says a planning hui yesterday brought together the party’s campaign committee with its Maori arm Te Roopu Pounamu to develop a campaign.
"We’re going to make sure we have got good platforms to talk about the work we have done, the way we have always stood beside Maori political aspirations, our growing Maori caucus – we currenty have four MPs and we hope to get more – our kaupapa and our charter which aligns really strongly with our kaupapa Maori values," Ms Davidson says.
