High performing wahine to look after tribal assets

Ngati Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated has appointed two high-performing Maori to the board of the tribe’s commercial arm.
Pania Tyson-Nathan is the chief executive of New Zealand Maori Tourism, while Heather Te Au-Skipworth is the founder of Iron Maori, which has succeeded in encouraging lifestyle changes by Maori in a way traditional health organisations have failed to do.
Other directors of Kahungunu Asset Holding Company, which was originally set up to hold fisheries settlement assets, are Hayden Hape, Trevor Moeke, Paora Ammunson, Taine Randall and Rangi Manuel.
