Davidson deported after Gaza blockade defied

Green Party MP Marama Davidson should be on her way back to Aotearoa soon after being detained by Israeli authorities for trying to breach their blockade of Gaza.
Ms Davidson was on a boat with 12 other women that was trying to draw attention to the conditions of Palestinian women and children living under the blockade and the constant threat of attack by Israeli planes and tanks.
Green Party co-leader Metiria Turei says she is expected to arrive at Auckland airport at about 8 tomorrow morning.
She says the long time human rights advocate received no ill treatment during her arrest and detention in Israel.
The Green Party is calling on Israel to lift the blockade and help the people of Gaza rebuild their homes and lives.
