Maori Greens plan strategy
Maori Green Party members are meeting on Waiheke this weekend to identify issues of concern and look for ways to increase the party's Maori vote at the next election.
Co-leader Metiria Turei says Maori are an important constituency for the Greens.
"Over time (there has been) slow steady persistent growth in our Maori membership and our outreach to Maori. We now have four Maori in our cuacus and more Maori staff in our parliamentary team than ever before. People are really interested in what we have to say and what we are doing," she says.
