Te Tira Whakaemi o Te Wairoa is encouraging anyone with whakapapa to the iwi and hapu of the northern Hawkes Bay to vote on their $100 million treaty settlement.

Votes need to be in by 5pm Friday, but chair Tamati Olsen says more than 1500 registered members have yet to indicate their preference.

He says the settlement could transform the iwi and the Wairoa region.
