Harawira revels in regal tick

Mana leader Hone Harawira has welcomed an endorsement from the Maori king.
Speaking at the end of the annual Koroneihana hui, King Tuheitia praised the former Taitokerau MP’s strength, loyalty and guts.
He called on the Maori Party to work with Mana, repairing the five-year-old rift.
Mr Harawira says the principle of kotahitanga or unity is a core element of Mana’s existence.
He says Mana president Lisa McNabb and her Maori Party counterpart Tukoroirangi Morgan, and advisor to the king, are talking about possible arrangements between the parties for the 20017 general election.
Mr Harawira also commended the king for his call to Maori leaders to play a large part in resolving issues such as drug abuse, crime, the high prison population, poor health, homelessness, and unemployment.
