Three Maori artists are heading for Seattle to take part in the annual tribal canoe journey undertaken by the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde.
As well as paddling, Ihaia and Marissa Puketapu and Waikarere Gregory will also share their artistic skills at each reservation where the canoes stop.
Toi Maori has been sending paddlers to the event since 2008, and Grand Ronde members have been coming to Aotearoa for the annual Waitangi waka pageant since 2010.
