Rolleston gets Callaghan crisis call

Callaghan Innovation’s Maori economy manager, Hemi Rolleston, has been named interim chief executive after the surprise resignation by Mary Quin.
Ms Quin, who was recently appointed to the Westpac board, says she will leave the government-funded research and technology promotion agency the end of July to pursue personal interests in New Zealand and overseas.
Deputy chair Robin Hapi says over the past three years Ms Quin had provided the leadership and vision the organisation needed through its start-up phase.
Mr Rolleston, from Te Arawa, Ngati Ranginui, and Ngai Te Rangi, is a former chief executive of Maori-owned kiwifruit business Te Awanui Huka Pak.
