Wells keeps Maori role in Chapman Tripp promotion


Major law firm Chapman Tripp promoted the head of its Maori legal group to the position of chief executive partner.
Nick Wells has been a partner at Chapman Tripp for 13 years, specialising in corporate and private equity transactions and fund formation, who has led some of the most significant corporate acquisition and private equity transactions in New Zealand.
He's a leading expert on corporate structuring for Maori, private equity, businesses and charities.
Mr Wells will continue as kaihautu of the Maori legal group, Te Waka Ture, which provides commercial legal advice to iwi and Maori organisations and those looking to work with them – focusing specifically on post-Treaty settlement transactions, joint ventures and collective iwi arrangements.
