E Tu Whanau Song Competition 2016

E Tu Whanau Song Competition 2016
No matter how big or small, we can all make a difference and be responsible for creating positive change within our own whānau, hapū, iwi and community.
E Tū Whānau is a movement for positive change in response to unacceptable levels of violence in NZ. It's about all of us taking responsibility to create the change we want, including changing bad attitudes and behaviour, and nurturing and celebrating the things that make whānau strong.
Music has the power to move us, to make us laugh or cry, to capture our hearts and minds, and to inspire change. We want you to write an original song that inspires positive change incorporating one or more of the E Tū Whānau values, ie: Aroha, Whanaungatanga, Whakapapa, Mana/Manaaki, Kōrero Awhi, and Tikanga.
Entering the E Tū Whānau Song Competition 2016 not only gives you the opportunity to make a positive difference, but also to win some great cash prizes. Your song may even be played on Māori Radio Stations throughout Aotearoa!
The competition commences at 10am on 1st May 2016 and closing date for entries is 22nd May 2016 at 5pm. Closing date for voting is 31st May 2016 at 5pm. So the sooner you start composing your winning song the better!
