The co-chair of Te Kotahitanga o Nga Hapu Ngapuhi, Rudy Taylor, says the Maranga Mai report offers a path ahead of unity for the tribe's treaty settlement negotiations.

The draft report is out for consultation.

It will be finalised next month and sent to Treaty Negotiations Minister Christopher Finlayson, who will decide if talks can be reopened with fresh negotiators chosen by a new hapu-driven process.
