Labour Party leader Andrew Little on Paakiwaha

The leader of the Labour Party say the flurry of activity over Annette King sitting on the taumata was just confused messages about what was allowed to happen and what wasn't but once that was over there was some good korero and they were made to feel very welcome.
Andrew Little says like it or not the Treaty origins were political. We shouldn't shy away from the opportunity to debate and discuss issues even if they are controversial.
He says on one level while the prime minister was mucked around and even if he didn't get to go on to Te Tii Marae he should have been at the dawn service on Waitangi Day and we should expect our head of government to be there.
