Kiwa innovation makes awards shortlist

Maori owned multimedia production house Kiwa Digital is a contender for the innovator of the year title in the upcoming Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year awards.
The company was nominated for its advances in voice synchronization software.
Executive chair Jill Tattersall says it’s welcome acknowledgement after a great year for the company which included the frelease and rapid market uptake of its VoiceQ software, which dramtically reduces the time needed for dialogue replacement and dubbing in film and television production.
The awards will be presented at a gala event in Auckland on February 17.
The New Zealander of the year longlist includes writer and cultural commentator Ranginui Walker.
Auckland doctor Mataoria Lyndon, who is an advocate for improving Maori and Pacific Island health, was nominated for the young New Zealander of the year award.
