Wellington lawyer Toko Kapea has been appointed to the board of Television New Zealand.

Broadcasting Minister Amy Adams says his commercial experience alongside his Maori perspectives will bring a valuable dimension to the board.

He chairs both Bathurst Resources and Ngati Apa Developments and is a director of Parininihi ki Waitotara Incorporation and Port Nicholson Fisheries Limited.
