Yellow lycra for Iron Maori minister

He’s the Minister for Maori Development and he’s also an Iron Maori.
Te Ururoa Flavell joined about 50 other St Stephen’s old boys in their yellow and black lycra for the bike leg of the half ironman event in Napier this weekend.
More than 2500 competitors were there for the two kilometre swim, 90 kilometre bike ride and 21.1 kilometre run.
It’s the fourth year Mr Flavell has taken part.
"It’s an inspiring event to see so many large, small, tall, short, different shapes, sizes and ages coming together to complete the event and also be role models for healthy lifestyles and about hauora," he says.
Te Ururoa Flavell says IronMaori is Whanau Ora in action.
