Rangatahi make sustainable film finals
Three rangatahi filmmakers who went through school workshops run by the Maoriland Film Festival have made this year’s Someday Challenge Top 20.
The challenge asks filmmakers under the age of 24 to submit films about sustainability.
It drew 156 entries from around the country.
The films are I Love Waiorongomai by Eva Hakaraia, He Kura Huna by rangatahi from Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Whakarewa in Taupo, and Koro Puppeteer by Oriwa Hakaraia and Kaea Hakaraia Hoskings.
The films are on The Outlook for Someday website, where people can also vote for the Element Audience Favourite award.
