Maniapoto seeks feedback on 2050 vision

The Maniapoto Maori Trust Board is on the road talking with iwi members about the future direction for the King Country based tribe.
Chair Tiwha Bell says the new board wants feedback in its Maniapoto 2050 plan.
That includes getting a measure of what they expect from any treaty settlement.
The 2013 census confirmed Maniapoto as one of the country’s largest iwi with more than 35,000 members from 148 hapu and 57 marae.
Ninety per cent of tribal members live outside the rohe.
The trust board is holding a hui a iwi at Te Kuiti Pa tomorrow morning, and it will be in Tamaki Makaurau on Sunday for a consultation hui at Te Wananga o Aotearoa’s Mangere campus from 1pm.
