Ngati Whatua staffer has say in city spend
The chief operating officer of Ngati Whatua Orakei’s Whai Rawa property development arm, Kate Healy, is the new chair of the Auckland City Centre Advisory Board.
The board, which represents business, professional and community interests, advises Auckland Council on how it should spend the $20 million collected each year from the City Centre Targeted Rate.
Ms Healy says the area is facing a period of unprecedented change from major projects and private developments that will cause disruption but will ultimately deliver a more mature and better connected city.
