Scholarship offer for fast track tech training

Enspiral Dev Academy, which has a fast track training programme to get people into the technology industry, has launched a new scholarship for Maori.
Co-founder Rohan Wakefield says Te Uru Rangi, which means stargate or a portal to the future, is a collaborative partnership between the company, Te Puni Kokiri , New Zealand Trade & Enterprise and Callaghan Innovation.
He says New Zealand’s growing technology industry is missing out on a huge pool of talented Maori.
Te Uru Rangi will help Maori do the academy’s junior development course, an intensive nine-week full immersion bootcamp where students learn by all the fundamentals of software development.
Mr Wakefield says more than 80 percent of graduates have walked into great technology jobs within a few months of doing the course.
