Parliamentary rivalry on court
Former Silver Fern and Labour MP Louisa Wall is leading a cross-party parliamentary team of netballers across the Tasman on Friday to take on teams of Australian parliamentarians.
Louisa Wall says as well as fostering friendship between women politicians both sides of the Tasman it will assist Netball Australia in helping indigenous players.
"They're acutally developing a concilliation action plan. It's the first time that they have acknowledged thay they need specific strategies to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait islanders within netball" she says.
Louisa Wall says 6 games will be played against Federal and New South Wales parliamentary teams in the series called the Diggeress Competition in honour of the World War ANZACs known as the Diggers.
