The last of the Quin Tikis are coming home.

Veteran entertainer Rim D Paul says there are planned shows for early next year, to capitalise on the success of a reversioned album of the 60's showbands original recordings.

The album has been well received throughout the country with sales pushing The Quin Tikis into number one on the album charts.

Rim D Paul says the success 50 years on has come as a pleasant surprise.. and is a reminder of the successful formula the Maori showbands had that combined humour, culture, classy instrumentals and powerful harmonies.

He's planning to put the gang back together early next year.
