Paewai-Young gets PM’s boost for business leadership
The operations manager of Aotearoa Fisheries’ subsidiary Prepared Foods, Carolyn Paewai-Young, is among the 12 chosen for this year’s Prime Minister’s Business Scholarships.
The scholarships give senior executives and business owners the opportunity to attend the world’s most prestigious business schools.
Economic Development Minister Steven Joyce says they are designed to grow business skills to help make New Zealand firms more internationally competitive.
Ms Paewai-Young will attend a transition to general management course at INSEAD (The Business School for the World), which has campuses in Singapore, France and Abu Dhabi.
She hopes it will give her the skills and tools to strengthen and broaden her thinking from a functional manager to a strategic leader.
