Housing discrimination against Maori decried

The Maori Party says any clean up of the housing market needs to address discrimination against Maori.
The Labour Party is asking whether speculation by overseas buyers is making it harder for all New Zealanders to get on the property ladder.
Maori Party co-leader Te Ururoa Flavell says research released earlier this year indicated people who look Maori find it harder to get bank finance to buy homes.
He says there are similar problems with rental housing, and his Rotora office is often asked by whanau to find out why they missed out on a home.
