Former Tainui Group Holdings chief executive Mike Pohio has been appointed to the board to the National Institute for Water and Atmosphere.
When Mr Pohio retired from TGH earlier this year after eight years, he indicate he was seeking more opportunities in governance.
He is also on the Board of Transpower, chairs BNZ Partners Waikato, and is Chancellor of the University of Waikato.
Chris Mace was reappointed NIWA’s chair for a further two years.
