Peters calls for wharf rail link


Northland's new MP says the Government’s refusal to invest in the region is hurting the whole country.
Winston Peters while Prime Minister John Key is claiming the high dollar is a sign of a healthy economy, it’s actually a sign of poor economic policies that are hurting businesses.
He says the closure of two major Northland forestry companies in recent days is a sign things aren’t working the region, or in other parts of rural New Zealand.
Winston Peters says he is looking for sites for at least three offices in the electorate.
