Regional development booster Northland Inc is welcoming the Government’s announcement it push the region’s ultra-fast broadband roll-out up the queue.
The promise was made as National faces the prospect of losing the Northland by-election to Winston Peters.
Chief executive David Wilson says Northland Inc is working on a digital action plan building on the recently completed Regional Growth Study and ‘He Tangata, He Whenua, He Oranga’ Maori economic development strategy.
Both those reports recognised the significance of digital enablement for education and employment.
