Big names line up for WOMAD

The initial line-up for World of Music and Dance festival is out and there are some big name acts lined up for the Taranaki event next March.
Artistic director Emere Wano says it’s a coup to get Sinead O’Connor, Rufus Wainwright and Youssou N’Dour from Senegal exclusively at the Bowl of Brooklands.
New Zealand is also well represented, with Warren Maxwell’s Trinity Roots showcasing a new album, and Tahuna Breaks finally breaking down the door.
A lot of the fans will be there for new sounds from around the world, like Niger’s Bombino the Malawi Mouse Boys.
Earlybird tickets for WOMAD 2015 are available on the Womad website.
